Beverly Eastwood
Beverly Eastwood lived a full and wonderful life, rich with love, laughter, and adventure. She passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family.
Born in Mount Vernon, New York, in 1930, Beverly grew up in Scarsdale, where she enjoyed a happy and vibrant childhood. After graduating from St. Lawrence University, she married her first husband, and together they raised four children. In 1960, the family moved to Los Angeles, California. When her marriage ended in 1963, Beverly found herself a single mother of four, navigating life with remarkable strength, grace, and determination.
Beverly was always willing to try new things and was a pioneer in her field, building a diverse and accomplished career while raising her children. She worked as a stockbroker on the New York Stock Exchange, later as a realtor, a 7th grade teacher, and a medical transcriber. After earning her master’s degree, she established herself as a marriage and family counselor. Her compassion, intelligence, courage, and quick wit touched countless lives, as did her wonderful sense of humor.
After retiring, Beverly and her second husband traveled the world before settling in Santa Barbara, where she lived for 36 years, enjoying the community, playing golf and lawn bowling, and attending many of the area’s cultural events. After her second husband passed, she moved to Goleta and embraced community life at Friendship Manor, where she built lasting friendships and continued to live with joy and purpose. It was there that she met and married her third husband, with whom she shared four happy years of companionship and love.
She is survived by her children Jamie, Jeremy, and Jason; grandchildren True, Wyatt, and Waylon; and great-grandson Sage. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Jefre Slate, along with many beloved friends and relatives.
Beverly will be deeply missed by her family and by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, adventurous spirit, sense of humor, and enduring love will remain in the hearts of those she touched.
