Robert B. Kieding

Owner of The Chandlery, Bob was proud of his News Press Scuttlebutt column & founding SB Maritime Museum.

An avid sailor, in the 40s he sailed the first SB Sea Shell. He skippered for movie stars in the 50s and cruised/raced his entire life.

He loved golfing, history, travelling, reading, hiking, woodworking. He was a trustee of the SB Museum of Natural History & president of SB Youth Foundation, the 1984 Olympics Junior Rowing Program, & Semana Nautica.

Bob is sorely missed by his wife, Joan; children Ken (Krista), Linda (Michael) and Susan; & 6 grandkids. Full obit: Legacy.com
