Sally Krause
Sally was born in Oshkosh, WI to Robert and Alva Radhke. She attended local schools, then nursing school and worked in a hospital.
Sally married Byron Krause in 1957, and she was dedicated to the care of her family. They had 3 children, Craig, Carla and Dale. Sally’s young family lived in Milwaukee for several and then they moved to Goleta where they lived 20 years and attended OUr Redeemer Lutheran Church.
The family knew when Sally watched basketball on TV; she cheered enthusiastically and exuberantly! She frequently went on outings and attended events with friends; sometimes it was just the ladies and other times it was couples. She enjoyed 3 cats and a dog, sewed frequently and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
After the children were grown, Sally worked at an exercise salon and later worked for many years at the Santa Barbara County Parks Reservation Office.
Sally retired to Solvang, where she lost Byron to cancer. She walked frequently, enjoyed more cats, and continued her friendships with long term friends by going out to lunch and shopping.
Sally pased away on April 19, 2026. She is survived by her 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Sally loved her family
She could fix what hurt
She had the nurturing instincts
She had the magic words (“please” and “thank you”).
There will be a celebration of life at 11am on May 16, 2026 at Our Redeemer Luther Church, 770 Vala Drive in Santa Barbara. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the church.
