Erwin B. Williams
Erwin B. Williams, affectionately known as “B. Williams” and “Barclay,” passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 73. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the son of Homer and Dorothy Williams.
Erwin was a devoted man of God whose faith guided his life, his service to others, and the way he faced life’s challenges. He was a dedicated businessman and community leader, serving as the owner of Leonard Pickett Incorporated and founder of Solutions for People, a nonprofit organization through which he mentored and supported countless young people throughout the community.
A man of resilience and transformation, Erwin proudly celebrated 40 years of recovery from drug addiction, a milestone that reflected his strength, perseverance, and deep faith in God’s grace and redemption. His journey inspired many and stood as a testament to the power of faith, healing, and second chances.
He will be remembered for his generosity, wisdom, leadership, and unwavering commitment to helping others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Dorothy Williams; his sister, Deborah “Debbie” Hatton Williams; and his sister-in-law, Shirley Williams.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Linda Williams; his children, Darold Adkins, Chanda Adkins, Jason Eighmy, Jason Williams, Ryan Eighmy, Justin Riggs, and Karissa Williams; his siblings, Eric Frederick “Freddie” Williams, Gloria M. Williams, Arthur Vaughn “Chubby” Williams, Doreen Williams (Charles Dees), and David Arnold Williams (Judy Williams); 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
