Ian Trenwith
Ian passed peacefully at home surrounded by the family and the pets he loved so deeply.
Born in Portsmouth, Hampshire England 3/26/40 during WWII gave him a lifelong appreciation for family, food and friends. He trained at Portsmouth University in the Culinary Arts, that passion let him to Canada where he met and married Diane Lamport. They celebrated 63 yrs together.
His love and talent with food took him all over the world. He was a private chef to the wealthy, owner of Jolly Brothers Catering and a teacher to the next generation of food lovers.
He did his military service in the States but lived in Canada, Spain, Bermuda, Santa Barbara and Oregon.
He embraced and valued every place he lived, finding lifelong friends and exploring the nature and history of each location. He was known for his humor, story telling and the admiration and care of nature and animals. He was loyal, trustworthy and honest to a fault. He would welcome anyone to his table and feed you until you became family.
He was also my dad. My mum, Russ and I will miss him everyday:)
