Mark Noffz

Mark passed away on May 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, laughter, and genuine human connection.

Known for his jovial spirit, thoughtful nature, and enormous heart, he had a remarkable ability to make every person he encountered feel valued, and special. Whether through a heartfelt conversation, a smile, or a simple act of kindness, he gave freely of himself and left lasting impressions on countless lives.

Mark attended Kellogg Elementary School, Goleta Valley Junior High, and Dos Pueblos High School. He played boys club, YFL and high school sports including basketball, football, and baseball, throughout his youth and was on the winning 1982 Goleta Valley Senior League World Championship team. Whether throwing a baseball or football, he had an arm like no other.

His daughter was the center of his world and the greatest joy of his life. Nothing made him prouder than watching her grow into the strong, capable, compassionate woman she became. She was his greatest source of pride, happiness, and one of his greatest accomplishments. He spoke of her often and never missed an opportunity to share how proud he was of her.

He treated everyone like a friend, whether it was someone he had known for decades or someone he had just met at a store, a restaurant, or a medical office. He had a knack for making ordinary interactions feel personal, warm, and memorable. He lived with an open heart and gave his love freely. Friends and family will remember his jovial spirt and compassion.

Mark loved fishing and camping with his father and brother, almost as much as he loved talking about or planning the trips. Some of his greatest adventures were spent deep in the desert of Utah or the Sierra mountains camping with his close group of friends.

He is survived by his daughter, son-in-law, mother, brother and sister-in-law; all of whom were deeply loved by him. His absence leaves an immeasurable void. The love, laughter, and kindness he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.

A private burial will be held, with a celebration of life planned for the fall.
