Emmanuel Vasta
Manny Vasta, 93, of Carpinteria, CA passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026.
Manny was born on October 25,1932, and graduated from Benton Harbor High School before enlisting in the United Sates Navy in 1953. He served honorably during the Korean War as a Fire Control Specialist and received several commendations for his dedication and service. Following his military career, Manny began a 40+ years career as a salesman and sales manager for American Home Products and then retiring with Adams and Brook’s Candy Company as the National Sales Manager.
Throughout his Professional life, Manny was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment as a Sales Manager to mentoring and guiding sales teams. After retiring, he focused his time and energy as a grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 1 great grand child.
Manny was known for his kind heart, and dedication to his family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, cheering on his favorite sports teams (Notre Dame), dancing, and most of all helping others.
He is survived by four of his five children, Kathleen Vasta, Susette Vasta-Durso, Patrick Vasta, and Aimee Weems; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elinore, and eldest son, Gregory,
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 17th at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church,1300 E. Valley Rd., Montecito 93108, with burial to follow at Carpinteria Cemetery, 1501 Cravens Lane, Carpinteria 93013.
Manny will be remembered by all for his infectious smile and big personality.
