Dolores Lee Hirson

1930-2026

Dolores Lee Hirson of St. Louis, Mo, passed on May 31, 2026.

Growing up in both St. Louis and Salinas, CA Dolores eventually settled in Santa Barbara.

She was pre deceased by her brother, David and her her two husbands, Herman and Charles.

Playing and teaching mah jong were life long interests of Dolores, as well as reading, especially Isabel Allende, knitting, and beating many of the tv contestants on Jeopardy. She especially enjoyed meeting Alex Trebek in person during one of his tapings.

Dolores will be remembered for her quick, sharp wit, her humor and her caring listening skills.

Dolores is survived by her children, Steven (and Suzanne) and Susan (and Tom). Her three grandchildren Lindsey (and Sam), Haley (and Cameron), and Jordan were blessed to have so many years with Grammy. She even got to meet and share special moments with her great grandchildren Henry and Lola. She will be dearly missed by all of us.
