Margaret Rodriguez Sandoval
In Loving Memory of
Margaret Rodriguez Sandoval, lovingly known as Mom, Grandma, Grammie, Nani, Maggie, and Aunt Margaret, peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on June 24, 2026, at the remarkable age of 100.
Margaret was born on June 9, 1926, on Dos Pueblos Ranch in Santa Barbara County to Jose Rodriguez and Rosario Mercado Rodriguez. She grew up alongside her loving siblings: Brothers David, Ralph, Willie, and Joe Rodriguez, and Sisters Jennie, Beatrice, and Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Reynard “Shorty” Sandoval; her parents, Jose and Rosario Rodriguez; her beloved Son, Robert “Bobby” Lara; her Brothers David and Ralph Rodriguez; and her Sisters Jennie and Beatrice.
Margaret is lovingly survived by her children, Linda Lara Dunn, Rebecca Sandoval Fulton (John), and Richard C. Sandoval (Crissy). She also leaves behind five cherished Grandchildren: Frank Tacadena, Lana Lara, Marissa Sandoval, Myranda Sandoval, and Brandon Sandoval; six Great-Grandchildren; six Great-Great-Grandchildren; and one Great-Great-Great-Grandchild. She is also survived by many beloved Nieces, Nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed by her.
For 54 years, Margaret faithfully worked in Montecito, as a domestic worker where she earned the admiration and respect of those she served through her unwavering work ethic, and quiet dedication.
Margaret was a devoted Catholic whose faith was the cornerstone of her life. Prayer was her greatest source of strength, and she found immeasurable joy in her church community, especially her treasured prayer group and the lifelong friendships she formed through her faith. She was a woman who prayed faithfully for others, offering encouragement, compassion, and unwavering trust in God’s plan.
Margaret and Shorty shared a beautiful marriage filled with love, adventure, and countless memories. Together they enjoyed traveling throughout the world, visiting destinations including Egypt, the Panama Canal, the Holy Land, New Mexico, and Oregon. Of all the places they explored, Las Vegas remained one of their favorite destinations, where they created many memories together.
Above all else, Margaret’s greatest joy was her family. She was the heart of generations, the Matriarch whose love and prayers were endless.
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Assisted Hospice Care, including the extraordinary team of Caregivers whose compassion, kindness, and loving support brought comfort to Margaret and our family during her final journey. Their care was truly a blessing.
Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing that she lived a full and faithful life and has now been welcomed into her eternal home.
