Inez Alvarado Jr. (Jay)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Inez Alvarado Jr. (Jay), who passed away on June 25, 2026 in Santa Barbara, at age 84. Born to Inez and Hilaria Alvarado, on July 14, 1941. Inez was a Veteran and served in the Unites States Marine Corps. He was also involved with the Alano Club of Santa Barbara, mentoring and spending time with friends for more that 30 years.
Throughout his life, Jay was a perfectionist upholster that created fine upholstery for many clients in Santa Barbara.
Inez Alvarado is preceded in death by parents Inez and Hilaria Alvarado, and siblings, Raymond Alvarado, Jack Alvarado, Lawrence Alvarado and sisters Carolina Lara, Eleanor Trunk, Patsy Heron.
Jay is survived by his brother Amador and sisters Katie and Leonora. Children Michael, Richard, Stacy, Elyse. Grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Gabriel, Richard, Summer, David, Arianna, Raymond Jr. Ryan, Marina, Noah and Leila.
A mass will be held at the Old Mission in Santa Barbara on July 17, 2026 at 11:00, following a celebration of life at the Eagles Club located at 923 Bath St Santa Barbara CA.
