Rick Albert Escalera

Rick A. Escalera lived life at full throttle and loved to make people laugh! Raised on the Mesa, he excelled at football for SBHS, and in college. A true entrepreneur, he launched many businesses including Pollofino and Escalera Pest Control. He loved fishing, golf, fast-pitch baseball, raising birds and especially volunteering. He turned his passion for golf into a long-running fundraiser for the Cottage Hospital after his son was saved in the NICU. Known for his legendary handshake and vibrant spirit, he retired to Eagle, Idaho, in 2020. Rick is remembered lovingly by his family and huge group of friends and community. Come celebrate his wonderful life on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1-4 PM at Manning Park (Area 9), Montecito!
