William Patrick Bordin, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and wonderful memories.

Bill is survived by Rosie, the love of his life and his beloved wife of 31 years, and her sons, Travis Espinoza, Kyle Lionello, and Sean Lionello, along with daughters-in-law Melissa and DJ, all of whom he loved as his own. He was a proud and happy grandfather—known affectionately as Papa Bill—to Sean and DJ’s daughters, Raffaella and McQueen. He was the coolest uncle around, and a treasured friend to many.

A lifelong Santa Barbaran, Bill spent four decades working in the auto parts industry. He was a 60 year superfan of the Kansas City Chiefs, always cheering for his team through triumphs and challenges.

Bill will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, great sense of humor, unwavering loyalty, and the love he gave to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Every Christmas season Bill set up his childhood electric train set and village – delighting grandkids, nieces, and nephews with the magic of it— going over to see it became a cherished tradition for the whole family.

His greatest joy was the life he built with Rosie and the family they shared. His warmth and laughter will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Bill’s memory may make a memorial contribution to Rosie. Please visit www.gofundme.com/f/helping-rose-through-this-difficult-time. Your kindness, love, and support mean more than words can express.

A gathering to remember and celebrate Billy’s life will be held on Sunday, August 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Arnoldi’s Cafe in Santa Barbara. All who knew and loved Bill are welcome to join together, share stories, and celebrate the memories of a wonderful man.
