Linda “Borrayo” Brown
Linda Brown was born to Ruth and Manuel Borrayo on December 29, 1951, in California, and spent many years in Santa Barbara, where she was born, raised, and graduated from Santa Barbara High School with the Class of 1969.
In 1980, she married David Campos, and from that union came three sons: Steven, Matthew, and Kevin. Later in life, Linda married David Brown. Although they did not have children together, she lovingly embraced his children Nora, Dessa, David Jr., Adam and Erica as her own and formed a close, blended family. She was also a devoted grandmother to Anthony and Brianna.
Linda worked for the Santa Barbara school district and in retail, roles that allowed her to spread joy and encouragement in her community. In 2013, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, but carried the spirit of Santa Barbara with her. She loved gardening, feeding the birds, baking for family and friends, and cheering on her beloved Seattle Seahawks.
Linda passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She leaves behind her husband, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends who will forever cherish her kindness, grace, and love.
