Mr. Frank Thomas Melendez Jr.

The man, the myth, the legend. There was nothing he could not do. When he set his mind to something he did it all the way and added his own personal touch. He loved his music loud, motorcycles fast, the wind in his hair and the sun on his face. He taught us to drop by family and friends’ houses unexpectedly for visits and in endless ways showed us the meaning of family. He was a hard worker and found an immense amount of joy building his home in Alaska and honing his fishing, hunting, canning, smoking, meat processing and wood lathe skills. Some of our favorite memories with him are fishing, hiking, going down to the river, playing gin rummy, nights around the campfire, BBQing and the many conversations when he shared his wisdom and knowledge to help us countless times. We will miss his adventurous spirit and unconditional love. His legacy will live on within our family.
