Geraldine Menzel Shalhoob

Geraldine Shalhoob died peacefully on August 20, 2026, at Atterdag Care Center in Solvang, California, at age 87. Born April 6, 1939, in Santa Barbara, and was a 1957 graduate of Santa Barbara High School. In 1970, Geraldine and her former husband, Bill Shalhoob (Janet Shalhoob), moved from Santa Barbara to Santa Ynez to raise their family.

Geraldine is survived by her children, Kourey Cotton (Bill), Nick and Greg Shalhoob; her grandchildren, Louie, Sydney and Marco Shalhoob, Chance and Zain Keegan, Evin Tayefeh (Michael), Jordan Politis (Zohn), and Shannon Bailey (Nick), as well as four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shami Keegan.

An avid gardener, photographer, and traveler, Geraldine found joy in life’s simple pleasures and treasured her family above all.  She also deeply loved and appreciated her dear friend, JC, who visited her regularly at Atterdag.

We’d like to thank Atterdag Care Center for the exceptional care our Mom received for the past 3 years.
