June F. Fincher

1928-2026

Born in June 1928 in Buffalo, New York, passed away September 8, 2026 in Santa Barbara, California. She was a cherished sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed. Growing up, June lived throughout the country and then moved to Whittier, California in 1949.

She met her husband Colin in Montebello in 1954. After marrying they lived in Fullerton, Woodland Hills, and San Luis Obispo. Colin and June enjoyed traveling and camping throughout the western United States. After Colin’s death in 2015, June moved to Santa Barbara.

June was an avid quilter and participated in several local sewing and quilting groups in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara. She loved making quilts for family and made many charity quilts that were donated to those less fortunate. She also loved spending time with family especially at the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Colin, her sisters and brother Jeanette, Joan, and Charles.

She is survived by her sons Bill (Laurie) and Mark (Sally) and her grandson Zachary.
