Margaret "Peggy" Korner

1924 - 2010, Montecito

A proud Matriarch of Montecito, Margaret “Peggy” Korner, 86, died the afternoon of November 18, 2010 at her home in Montecito, California, surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy will be greatly missed by her family, her friends, the morning breakfast bunch, and by her fabulous brood of dogs. She will be remembered as the stylish blond zipping around town shopping. Under her yearbook photo it says, “Darting and Frisking, always with a smile” and that was Mom all her life.

She is survived by sons and daughter: Robert, Jr., Peter, Joanne, Michael and wife Lynn, Timothy and wife Christina, Andrew and Dorothy. Also, grandchildren Matthew and Grace Mungovan, and Jaime Korner. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Korner.

The family wishes to acknowledge Sherlyn Perkins with deepest gratitude for all her love and support.

Cremation will take place Tuesday at Welch-Ryce-Haider. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 23 at 7 pm at her home. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the wonderful angels at Hospice.
