A fire that broke out on 5/23 at the top of the Nojoqui grade near Highway 101 is still under investigation. The blaze, which scorched 5.4 acres, began at about 2:45 p.m. and was contained by 3:30 that afternoon. There were no injuries, and nearby ranches were never in any apparent danger.
