With gas prices approaching $5 per gallon, Indy reader Steve Branda of Santa Barbara submitted this photo today, with the message, “Finally they just tell us…” This was taken at the Exxon station at the corner of Hollister and Kinman avenues in Old Town Goleta, proclaiming that “Greed Is Good Again.” In 2007, Exxon Mobil broke its own record for the biggest profits ever for a company, topping out at $40.6 billion in net income. They sold $404 billion worth of oil-related products, profiting more than $1,200 for each second of 2007. And now, it seems, they’re shooting for honesty too.
