Open House
This Saturday, November 8, at 4 p.m., State Street Ballet will celebrate the grand opening of its new home, the recently finished Gail Towbes Center for Dance (2285 Las Positas Rd.). The 10,400-square-foot facility will house the company and its official school, Gustafson Dance. The open house event will include a behind-the-scenes tour, as well as interactive booths, performances, and a hands-on look a theater production.
Natural Selection
The Arts Fund (205-C Santa Barbara St.) will host an opening reception for 2007 Individual Artist Award winner Laurie MacMillan this Friday, November 7, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. A master of contemporary abstract art, MacMillan’s exhibit will echo her interest in geology, mountains, and nature.
