The Foundation for Girsh Park this week received a $500,000 donation from the Girsh and Hochman families-descendants of Lester and Viola Girsh, for whom the park is named-in furtherance of the Fields Forever 2 campaign, which seeks to install synthetic grass on the playing fields at the 25-acre Goleta park so that they can support sports year round.
