Started as Motorcycle Fire

A fire burned 7.3 acres of light-to-medium brush south of Jalama Beach Park before fire crews were able to extinguish the flames Thursday afternoon, September 24.

The fire, which started as a result of a motorcycle fire along Jalama Road, was attacked by a water-dropping helicopter and air tanker, as well as nine fire engines and four hand crews from several organizations, which responded to a call at 2:32 p.m.
