As the start of winter approaches, gray skies, autumnal-colored leaves, and the occasionally absent sun may leave some Santa Barbarans craving less dreary imagery. Find a cure for winter-worn eyes this week at Dan Levin and Dug Uyesaka’s Fabrications exhibit, a brightly colored collection of assemblage art-all made from found objects-that’s sure to invoke memories of the summer sun. The artists’ vibrantly hued works are made from ultra-light materials (glass), have summery subjects (tropical fish), and even boast humorous titles that will help battle the winter blues (“Rage Against the Dying of the Light”). Check out the exhibit at Frame (901 De la Vina St.) before it closes on Saturday, December 19. Call 957-1997 for more info.
