Public Access Rites

I’ve been reading some of the comments on the Knapps story and I thought maybe I better set the record straight. First of all the property is owned, meaning it is theirs to use as they see fit. I don’t come to your house and tell you when to cut the lawn, what to paint your house.

Second, the owners graciously allowed access, which brought all kinds of destruction to the existing structure. Graffitti everywhere, and people were knocking down the standing structure by throwing huge rocks at the base. Numerous fires had been lit in the center of the building, leaving ash, old batteries, broken glass, and nails strewn about. I posted photos of the damage months ago and I don’t recall anyone raising a stink like you folks are about them fixing the place up.

It’s easy to see why I no longer read your paper.
