[On Wednesday, January 12] in an unremarkable video we saw a petulant and divisive person trying like a child caught red-handed to blame others for her own misdeeds. We saw a political pawn, picked in 2008 to run for one of the highest offices in our land, continue to spew, as she has since her nomination in 2008, ignorance, prejudice, and hate much in the same way Joe McCarthy did as a senator in the 1950s.
But [that night], we saw a confident, intelligent, critically-thinking adult, the President of the United States, speak with clarity, selflessness, and hope to a gathering, a city, a state, and a country. We are truly blessed to have someone of this stature and measure in the White House.
