The big news this week was the U.S. military retreat from Iraq, otherwise known as the end of the war. A parallel story was about the 23-year-old nice guy who was the last soldier killed in the war. His best friend and his former coach talked about his very short life.
History will mention the 4,400 plus U.S. deaths, the tens of thousands of physically and mentally maimed servicemembers, the nine years of occupation, and the still-running tab of dollars counted in the trillions. The WMDs that our Vice Leader Cheney claimed were there, were not – but he knew that there would be huge profits to found, for as long as the war would take. Many big companies around the world made huge profits from this one war. That is their business. I hope they choke on those profits. And die.
