Lexi Angelina Krasnoff: 2008-2012

Lexi Angelina Krasnoff

Lexi Krasnoff passed away at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara earlier this year. Lexi was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) one week before her second birthday and died at the age of three years after a more than courageous fight.

Lexi was our sweet baby girl, whom we loved more than life itself. She was always affectionate and at times brutally honest.

She loved to go to Gramma and Grampa’s house and play in the garden where the strawberries grew especially for her.

We would talk about how Lexi couldn’t get any cuter when she was a baby, but, as always, Lexi proved us wrong. She would capture everyone’s heart with her loving smile and spunky personality. We would steal kisses and hugs from her whenever we could.

Lexi and her baby brother, Caleb, always made each other smile. She loved to tickle Caleb: “Coochie, coochie, cooch!” Lexi was Daddy’s little girl and best friend, and our cherished love.

Lexi loved the beach, where we would make sandcastles for her to smash. Lexi also loved swimming at the pool and “spinning like spaghetti” while singing “Tomorrow” from the movie Annie as loudly as she possibly could.

Our sweet little Lexi’s favorite thing to do was to play with “her kids” in our neighborhood. They took such great care of her and treated her like the princess she truly is.

Although we are beaten and heartbroken, we are happy for Lexi because she does not have to be in pain any more.

Lexi, we will always love you and be together just like we promised each other.

Lexi brought love and laughter to her family: Her parents, Jonathan and Katrine Krasnoff; her baby brother, Caleb; grandparents Gary and Juanita Chatham Krasnoff of Santa Barbara; grandparents John and Ingeborg Rajala of Oslo, Norway; aunts, Kelly Krasnoff of Santa Barbara, Christel and Elisabeth Rajala of Sweden; uncles, Jostein Rajala of Norway and Kevin Krasnoff of Santa Barbara.
