Non-luxury Yacht

Responding to the retort that “luxury yacht” is a redundant term rather than a title that the grandest boats earn.

Estrella was a small yacht

Whose bow was just off center,

She hosted parties a lot

Though few strangers would enter,

Old friends would pop over

To try the caviar,

And their manners would hover

Between the loo and bar,

No permanent staff serving,

Just caterers for hire,

Upholstery quite unnerving,

Strange statues near the fire,

She rarely sailed the ocean

Beyond the bobbing buoys,

She floated on the notion

Her name meant luxury.
