Margerum Rapporte Pinot Noir

Margerum Rapporte Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills 2014: Doug Margerum’s desire to honor his recently deceased dog, Patches, and create a project to help all animals led to this young, tasty pinot noir.
Sourced from primo Sta. Rita Hills vineyards, including Radian, La Encantada, and Sanford & Benedict, and blended with the help of Whole Foods wine specialist Gina Cook, the wine has a bit of bite on first opening the bottle, but how fitting is that? Otherwise expect a lilting if a bit lighter-style SRH pinot.
The even better news is a portion of all sales of Rapporte (French for “fetch”) goes to the animal rescue group Cold Noses, Warm Hearts. For fans of felines, check out the Bordeaux blend Chaton Heureux Cuvée, a Happy Canyon–sourced merlot blend, with proceeds benefiting ASAP cats.
See margerumwinecompany.com or buy a bottle at participating Whole Foods in Southern California.
