Joan Hartmann is running for Santa Barbara’s 3rd District Supervisor, and we are writing to share our experience and opinions about her candidacy.
Joan has been a close neighbor of ours for the past 15 years, and we can attest to her personal character as an intelligent, thoughtful, and dependable friend.
In addition she has shown a consistent passion to be of service to others through her public commitment to our natural environment and its resources and the interests of all of us who live in this beautiful area.
She has demonstrated her ability to work with others across the political spectrum in her work for the past two years as an elected member of the Planning Commission.
In sum, she is one of those rare people you can count on to examine the decisions she has to make with both intelligent and integrity.
