Light Up the Holidays & Visit with Santa.

 2019 marks the 30th year GVCC has hosted this festive event to kick off the holiday season. The event begins at 4:30pm to offer children time to craft their own free upcycle holiday ornament. Goleta Mayor Paula Perotte will officiate the lighting ceremony at 5:15 pm to usher in the arrival of Santa, who will arrive on a fire engine from Santa Barbara County Fire Station 12.

Children will be delighted to chat with Santa and receive a candy cane while parents have an opportunity to memorialize their visit. Live music will accompany the celebration, featuring acclaimed Dos Pueblos High freshman singer Audrey Harmond.  Harmond has recently been named as a finalist in the upcoming Teen Star Santa Barbara competition. Hot chocolate and sweet treats will be available for purchase at a nominal fee.

GVCC believes that the Community Center is the heart of the Goleta community. We are committed to hosting open-to-the-public cultural activities to bring people together to experience the pride and community spirit that makes Old Town Goleta such a special place.

Festivities begin at 4:30 PM

Lighting ceremony will be held at 5:15 PM

Santa will arrive between 5:15-5:30 PM

We encourage children to come meet Santa and take photos with him.
