Coffee & Community – and Birthday Cake!/¡Café y Comunidad – y Pastel de Cumpleaños!

Coffee and Community (Café y Comunidad) is coming up NEXT Saturday, February 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Brandon School (195 Brandon Dr). Opening remarks followed by a time for questions will begin at 9:30 a.m.

This bilingual event will have live Spanish interpretation.

Mayor Paula Perotte, City Councilmember Kyle Richards, and City staff from various departments look forward to meeting you, your family, and friends for this special edition of our Coffee & Community gathering that will include a delicious Anna’s Bakery cake in honor of the City’s 22nd birthday.

Mayor Paula Perotte said, “I’m looking forward to both listening and responding. And I will try to follow the wise advice of the author and teacher Ram Dass who said, ‘The quieter you become, the more you can hear.’”

Councilmember Kyle Richards said, “I’m eager to connect with the residents of District 3 to hear their concerns and discuss what the City has been working on in this area. We are always looking for ways to better address the needs of our community, and this is a great way to meet and hear from our constituents directly.”

The event will be held in the school’s Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). Please feel free to bring the entire family. There will be a table for children to make birthday cards for the City to be displayed at the Goleta Valley Library or they can play outside on the playground (note that it will not be supervised).

There will be plenty of time for mingling and a chance to talk one on one with the Mayor, Councilmember Richards and the staff who are attending to address topics of importance to the neighborhood.

This will be the fourth Coffee & Community / Café y Comunidad event held by the City across the four Goleta districts.

We will have free Live • Work • Play giveaways as well. Join us for all or part of the morning, we are hoping for a great turnout!

Café y Comunidad se celebrará el PRÓXIMO sábado 3 de febrero de 9:00 a 11:00 de la mañana en Brandon School (195 Brandon Dr). Los comentarios de apertura seguidos de un tiempo para preguntas comenzarán a las 9:30 a.m.

Este acto bilingüe contará con interpretación en directo al español.

La Alcaldesa Paula Perotte, el Concejal Kyle Richards, y el personal de la Ciudad de varios departamentos esperan reunirse con usted, su familia y amigos para esta edición especial de nuestra reunión de Café y Comunidad que incluirá un delicioso pastel de Anna’s Bakery en honor del 22 º cumpleaños de la Ciudad.

Habrá una mesa para que los niños hagan tarjetas de cumpleaños para la Ciudad que se exhibirán en la Biblioteca del Valle de Goleta o pueden jugar afuera en el patio de recreo (tenga en cuenta que no será supervisado).

Habrá un montón de tiempo para mezclarse y la oportunidad de hablar uno a uno con el alcalde, el concejal Richards y el personal que asisten a abordar temas de importancia para el barrio.

Este será el cuarto Coffee & Community / Café y Comunidad evento celebrado por la Ciudad a través de los cuatro distritos de Goleta.
