Community Organizing Meeting Set for June 22 to Address Ongoing Attacks on Rights and Freedoms
In response to the escalating immoral, illegal, and unconstitutional actions of the current regime, community members are invited to join a crucial organizing meeting on Sunday, June 22nd from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara (1535 Santa Barbara St, Jefferson Hall).
Organized by the Santa Barbara Transgender Advocacy Network (SBTAN), this meeting aims to bring together individuals and organizations to share updates, identify urgent needs, and coordinate actions that defend vulnerable communities and uphold constitutional rights.
Key activities will include:
Sharing updates, news, and strategy ideas
Hearing directly from local organizations on immediate support needs
Organizing into small groups for targeted action planning and collaboration
This meeting will take place on a Sunday, and the time differs from previous sessions.
Space is limited — registration is required at sbtan.org/june22
“This is a pivotal moment for our community to stand together, support one another, and take coordinated action,” said Megan Overland, Board Member of SBTAN. “We encourage all who are able to join us.”
