May I love and accept myself just as I am. ~ Tara Brach In this workshop you will practice cultivating and experiencing the priceless treasures of self care and self- compassion and generating loving feelings towards yourself. Instead of judging and criticizing yourself for various inadequacies or shortcomings, self-compassion engenders self kindness and understanding when confronted with personal failings. The framework of restorative yoga, mindfulness, and guided meditations encourage you to journey deep into your being and open to healing, health, and peace. She earned a B.S. degree from the University of Southern California and is a Trained Mindfulness Facilitator through the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and a UCLA Mindful Awareness Practices Affiliated Teacher. Barbara co-authored the college textbook, ‘Yoga for the Joy of It!’. She has taught yoga, restorative yoga, stress reduction and wellness programs for 23 years. She has developed and leads corporate wellness programs, Womens Health and Healing workshops, yoga and meditation retreats, and mindfulness courses.
