The San Marcos Foothills are Santa Barbara’s last remaining native grasslands and one of the most biodiverse grasslands on the South Coast of California. For over 20 years people have fought to defend this unceded Chumash ancestral land, the animals and plants it provides a home for, and the Chumash culture it continues to hold.
Today we are being called to continue to help protect this land as it is under threat of development. If the Santa Barbara community can raise 18 million dollars by June 2nd this land will be protected. Today our community has an opportunity to show up for our earth.
Join us for a yoga class hosted by Divinitree to reconnect with your body, reconnect with the earth beneath your feet, and hold space for envisioning a future where the health of our home is prioritized.
All proceeds will be donated to the Foothills Forever Campaign.
