Join us for a virtual conversation highlighting Uproot Artist Coalition with artists Harvest Keeney, Leah Moment, and Amanda (Mandy) Harris Williams. Moderated by ELA Fellow, Tess Reinhardt, the artists will discuss community and art in the digital age.xf

Uproot is a BIPOC and Queer student art coalition at the University of California, Santa Barbara. They focus on providing space, opportunity, and equity for students in the UCSB Art Department. Uproot emphasizes the importance of decolonial pedagogy, dismantling historically Euro-centered art practices, and providing support with attention on the community through artist talks and workshops.

This event is supported by the MCASB’s Emerging Leaders in the Arts (ELA) program. While this event is free to the public, we encourage guests who want to support BIPOC and Queer artists at UCSB to donate to Uproot Artist Coalition.
