Costumes encouraged at this after-dark family fun, nighttime bat-themed exploration of Santa Barbara Botanic Garden in celebration of Bat Month.
Families can discover what insects bats dine on at a black-light station, and play bat-themed games under the night sky and canopy of Coast Live Oaks. Sensory activities and nighttime walks take place throughout the event. Michael Katz – Santa Barbara’s favorite Storyteller –shares eerie stories, too.
Event takes place almost entirely in the dark – flashlights are highly recommended, as are blankets for story time. Refreshments will be served.
