Scripps Institute of Oceanography researcher and Quasars to Sea Stars alum Sarah-Marie Amiri will highlight the diversity, cycles, and spatial distribution of phytoplankton blooms across the Santa Barbara Channel and Northern Channel Islands. She investigates how sea surface temperature anomalies and other localized conditions may influence harmful algal bloom formation along our coastline.
Join this fun and friendly conversation in the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History’s Science Pub series, and quench your thirst for knowledge about science and nature. Like our real-life venue Dargan’s, this Zoom webinar is free!
