Carpinteria Valley Water District (CVWD) is pleased to announce the completion of its Solar Energy Project in partnership with Siemens and will be holding a Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the District Offices located at 1301 Santa Ynez Avenue, Carpinteria, CA 93013. The event is free and open to the public.

The Solar Energy Project is part of a comprehensive program initiated to improve efficiency, increase reliability and resiliency as well as sustainability of District resources, including energy. The project is expected to produce approximately 300 MWh annually which is enough to power 40 homes. The power generated will offset energy costs to power the District Offices and Headquarters Well pump and reduce District’s overall carbon by 230 tons of CO2 each year!
