Brayell is an independent artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Goleta, California. A former American Idol contestant, his music blends alternative hip-hop, indie rock, and melodic songwriting.
Last month Brayell’s band, featuring duo Miles Julian and Dom Lawrence, played a show at the Santa Barbara Public Library’s Faulkner gallery during the display of Covering 40 Years, an exhibition featuring 150 Independent covers spanning the four decades of newspapers that hit Santa Barbara’s newsstands every week. The event was full of good vibes and creativity as audience members got a behind the scenes look at how Breaking Tunes, the Santa Barbara Independent series highlighting area artists, is made.
