When New York-based choreographer Peter Pucci was asked to create an original ballet for the State Street Ballet, he immediately thought of the amazing Paul Simon concert he attended in May of last year. He went to work studying Paul Simon and his music inside and out, primarily from his solo career. The world premier of “Dream On By” matches a carefully selected collection of Simon recordings with original dance. (Lobero Theatre, 4/27; 7:30pm)
