On this week’s Poodle Radio, Colin Marshall is joined first (at 1:25) by Barney Brantingham, the man behind The Indy’s “On the Beat” column, who has every year made a tradition of eating his way through Fiesta. Whether he’s on the hunt for cheese enchiladas, goat tacos, or arroz con pollo just like they used to make in Panama, Barney has mastered the culinary approach to Santa Barbara’s biggest, most beloved, most edible summer festival

Then (at 32:30), Indy associate arts editor and Poodle Radio music producer Aly Comingore gets in the studio to talk about her rise from UCSB’s Daily Nexus to her current position, what she likes best about the Santa Barbara music scene, her recent (and very popular) interview with Stevie Nicks, and how much local musical activity has changed for the better in the past few years. She also provides tracks, as usual, from bands and artists scheduled to play in town, including Wavves, Skyler Stonestreet, and Nicks herself. You can tune in to Poodle Radio live every Tuesday morning from 8-9 a.m. on KCSB, 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara or on KCSB’s Web cast at KCSB.org.
