On this week’s Poodle Radio, the show’s first broadcast after its transition from KJUC to KCSB-FM, Colin Marshall is joined in the studio by Roman Baratiak, Associate Director at UCSB Arts & Lectures. They discuss Arts & Lectures’ just-begun spring schedule, which includes talks from Werner Herzog, Ian Buruma, Fareed Zakaria and Bill Nye as well as cinema selections from Pedro Almodóvar the Santa Barbara Human Rights Film Festival. A 30-year Arts & Lectures veteran, Baratiak also gives his perspective on the unique challenges and advantages of organizing cultural events in Santa Barbara.

Poodle Radio music producer Aly Comingore provides tracks this week from Baaba Maal, Beach House, Franklin for Short and Black Uhuru, all of whom are set to play Santa Barbara soon. Don’t forget that, when you’re in the 805, you can now tune in live to the show every Tuesday Morning from 8-10 a.m. on KCSB 91.9 FM.
