On this week’s Poodle Radio, Colin Marshall is joined in the KJUC studio by the Indy’s food editor, George Yatchisin. For the hour, they discuss recent and coming culinary happenings in Santa Barbara under the theme of “old stuff made new.” Stories include the arrival of El Paseo’s new chef Alex Castillo, Rori Trovato’s retro ice cream operation, the classically delicious scones at the Bella Dolce bakery and the unusual splendor of the Taste of Solvang’s walking smörgåsbord.

Aside from a couple of lounge tracks to set the mood, the program also includes the usual cuts from artists scheduled to hit S.B. in the near future. This time, we hear the Zac Brown Band, Morning Benders, Surfer Blood and Threadspinner.
