This week on Poodle Radio, Colin Marshall talks first to Seana Strain, tour coordinator of the 35th Annual Banff Mountain Film Festival, which has brought the best of this year’s crop of outdoor, extreme sports, and environmental films to the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara. Then in comes Detlev Peikert, architect of the Garden Court low-income senior housing facility and president of the Garden Court Endowment Board, to discuss the challenges of addressing the needs of Santa Barbara’s low-income senior population and his organization’s ambitious plans to build a new assisted-living facility in town.

This week’s musical selections, organized as always by Pop Culture Editor Aly Comingore, include tracks from Young the Giant, Autolux, and Dante Elephante, all of whom are scheduled to play S.B. soon. You can tune into Poodle Radio live every Tuesday morning from 8-9 a.m. on KCSB, 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara or on KCSB’s webcast at KCSB.org.
