First on this week’s Poodle Radio, Colin Marshall talks to Robby Robbins, multimedia sales manager at The Indy, who also sits on the board of the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Celebration. Robby gives details on this year’s imminent festival and tells stories about festivals past and the ways the parade’s float-builders have tried to push the envelope. Then, D.J. Palladino visits to talk about Mike Mills’s new film Beginners, which the director based on experiences with his father, former Santa Barbara Museum of Art director Paul Mills, who came out of the closet late in life. D.J. also brings in CAMA’s Nancy Lynn, who worked alongside Paul Mills for years in the ’70s and ’80s.

You can tune in to Poodle Radio live every Thursday morning from 8-9 a.m. on KCSB, 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara or on KCSB’s webcast at KCSB.org.
