First on this week’s Poodle Radio, Colin Marshall talks to three Santa Barbara filmmakers with documentaries in this year’s Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Michael and Tina Love have made Last Man in Paradise, the story of Paradise Road cabin resident and prolific vintage car collector Tom Merkel, whom the Indy profiled in 2009. Jacob Siegel-Boettner directed With My Own Two Wheels, a look at how people across the world creatively use bicycles given to then by aid agencies, and how one enterprising fellow uses his bike right here in Santa Barbara.

As always, the show’s music is organized by Indy Pop Culture Editor Aly Comingore, who this week brings tracks from the The White Buffalo, Lucky Dragons, and Forgetters, all of whom are scheduled to play Santa Barbara soon. You can tune in to Poodle Radio live every Tuesday morning from 8-9 a.m. on KCSB, 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara or on KCSB’s webcast at KCSB.org.
