You might not know it from what’s been posted on, but Poodle Radio has remained in effect every Friday morning, 9:30 to 11 a.m., coming at you on KJUC from the UCSB campus, which hits the airwaves at 770/880 AM on the dial, and only in the UCSB dorms. Due to various technical snafus, we haven’t successfully recorded any other programs, save for the one that aired on this Web site a few weeks ago.

But this morning’s show – that would be November 7, for those who aren’t reading this today – was properly recorded, for the most part, and went well enough to share. So that’s what this audio feed is, and we encourage you to check it out.

On this episode, host Matt Kettmann welcomes Gay Girl/Straight World columnist Penny Patterson discussing gay life in Santa Barbara and the passage of controversial Proposition 8. (We also get a plug in for the No on Prop. 8 vigil going down this afternoon at 5 p.m. in De la Guerra Plaza.) Then comes political columnist and Capitol Letters blogger Jerry Roberts discussing election results and the state budget. And we wrap up with music writer, City College biology teacher, and photographer Brett Leigh Dicks discussing what it’s like for an Aussie to become an American citizen and vote in this past Tuesday’s historic election. And in between, some music from bands near and far.

So check it out.

P.S. We resurrected Poodle Radio Episode #1 with some technological wizardry, so that’s now posted here.
