First on this week’s Poodle Radio, Colin Marshall talks to Jeff Shaffer of the Uffizi Mission Project about his work on Common Ground Santa Barbara’s survey of the homeless population, the subject of this week’s cover story by Isabelle Walker. Then, Environmental Education for the Next Generation (EENG) founder and head director Ryland King visits to talk about his work bringing college students into first- and second-grade classrooms to teach kids about environmental science. Finally, television producer and documentarian Mike Warner brings in Stony River, Alaska schoolteacher Debi Rubera and some of the students for whom she’s organized a trip to Santa Barbara and beyond, their first visit to anywhere in the lower 48 states.

You can tune in to Poodle Radio live every Thursday morning from 8-9 a.m. on KCSB, 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara or on KCSB’s webcast at KCSB.org.
