Jon D. Odegarrd

Jon loved Santa Barbara and lived and worked here for the past thirty years. He had a keen eye for interior design, and owned The Design Collection on lower State Street during the early 90s.

Jon was also an avid golfer and talented tennis player. Sailing and singing were among his other passions, as well as his family and friends. Jon also participated in many Solstice parades, skating the whole way. His playful sense of humor brought smiles and joy to friends and family, he will be greatly missed.

Jon is survived by his daughter, Elisse, of Santa Barbara; sister, Lisa, of Talent, OR; brother, Carl, of Santa Barbara, and parents, Jon and Ellen Odegaard, of Gainesville, GA.

A memorial will be held Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Friendship Grove at Oak Park, Santa Barbara CA. Please join his family and friends for a celebration of his life.
